A little late posting this, but I had to finish up assignments for school first 😉
First of all I want to thank all the dads in our lives!
Jake is a great dad and does so much for our kids and our family. He is always up for something fun and adventurous. He loves his kids so much! He is kind and a great example to them of hard work. He has a great sense of humor and good heart. We love him and are pretty lucky to have him around!
My dad is so great with all the grand kids. He loves them all so much. He is the type that would rather be at the kids table and I think that is pretty great! He is a great example of service and love and he has always helped our families whenever he can.
Kent, my second dad was a great man as well. We appreciated his wisdom, his kindness and his sense of humor. I am so lucky he helped raise such an awesome guy (and all of his siblings) to be such great people. I am pretty lucky to have gotten to know and love him.

So, I didn't get pictures of everything, but did get some. We have had some fun these past few weeks!
We have done a lot of bike riding. We have done some family bike rides and the kids have gone with their cousins up the street a few times. It is pretty fun! Pierce has gotten pretty good at his 2-wheeler and now will ride that instead of his scooter. We tried to put a bike seat on for Wes, but couldn't make it work, so we grabbed my moms old bike that still had one on it. He loves it. I do too, although the last couple blocks are always rough (my moms bike is stuck in high gear).
The kids have enjoyed some game nights with dad while I am either studying or doing zoom meetings for my classes. I have 3 a week and multiple assignments and quizzes and of course all the reading. I am managing, but can't wait until the end of July, so I can just enjoy my free time a little bit more.
We have had a few social distance visits with my parents. That is always fun. It is good to see them!
We got some water guns and the kids have enjoyed some water fights as well.
We enjoyed a short trip to the cabin and had a couple of extras this time, which made it even more enjoyable. We enjoyed some time at the river, paddle boarding on the lake, card games, outdoor games and spending quality time with each other. While we were gone we missed some excitement at home. The school and our church were used as a prep/safe zone for the police and national guard during the protests. There were police cars and hummers filling the parking lots and lined up along 8th East. It sounds like they didn't have to do much, but stuck around for a while to be sure.
We got to see Amy, Sarah and their kiddos for a quick social distance visit for my niece's birthday. The hardest part is the little ones. They don't quite get the social distance thing, they see their cousins and want to play. We got to visit with Christina and Zach later in the week as well. I got to see all of my sisters and that was really fun for me. The kids are getting so big! We also got to visit with Tatiana for a few minutes this past weekend and that was a treat as well. It will be nice we we can all get together again. I miss my people!
Ava and I got to go to the dentist. It was definitely a different experience!
Pierce had his preschool graduation. They did a virtual graduation and sent him a fun graduation packet with some prizes. We are so proud of him and he is excited for school next year, whatever form that it may come in.
We decided to go on a hike Saturday morning for Father's day and because it was one of Jake's only days off. We left by 7 am hoping to avoid a lot of crowds. The parking lot before the canyon and many spots along the road up the canyon had tons of cars. Donut falls had a ton of cars so we thought our hike might be a bust. On the way back down the canyon, Jake pulled over where he thought he saw a trial. He found a great one, we had all to ourselves. We hiked along what looked like it could have been a railroad and it lead us to a fun little cave the kids could explore. It was really fun and we had a good time.
Still one of my favorite pics❤❤❤
