3 Great Men

Happy Father's Day to these 3!

Our dads are some of the most awesome people I know.  They both are always willing to help others and are always such a good example.  They help our little family with so much and we are blessed to have their continuous love and support!

And as for this guy, I don't know where I would be without him.  He is the most awesome dad to our kids and I couldn't be happier.  These kiddos and I are so lucky to have this stud around!

Rocky Shores...Fun at the Zoo

So thanks to Amy & Christina we have passes to the zoo again this year (you two rock by the way).  Jake and I took Laws in the spring when Ava was about a month old.  It was a good time as usual.  While there we found out their new section would be opening in about a month. Rocky Shores would have a polar bear, grizzly bears, bald eagles, otters, a sea lion and seals.  We were excited for this new part of the zoo.

A couple weeks ago we went with Jake after the new section had been open for a few days.  It was still pretty busy, but we had a great time.  We watched the polar bear run through the grass and dive into the water and play around.  It was pretty cool.  The Grizzly's were sleeping so we didn't see much of them.  The new section is awesome!

About a week ago we Lawson, Ava and I went with Uncle Zach and Aunt Christina to the zoo. We had a great time with them.  They enjoyed seeing the new part and just having fun at the zoo, since neither of them had been in a while.  After all our zoo fun Zach bought us a Ice cream cone to cool off on the way home.  Thanks to the both you for a good time!

Memorial Day Weekend

This year was awesome because Jake did not have to work at all.  The part few years Jake has always had to work Saturday morning so we never got to spend a lot of time at the cabin.

Friday evening we headed up to the Family cabin in Midway and had pizza dinner with my mom and dad.  Zach and Christina came up later that evening. Jake and Zach played guitar while we hung out. Saturday we had breakfast with my mom and dad, then they went back to town.  Saturday we spent the day playing our new ladder game.  Christina and I against Jake and Zach.  Christina and I rocked it for the majority of the games, but the boys made a comeback at the end.  It was really fun!  Then we headed down to Heber for some groceries.  Jake and Zach made french bread pizza for us for dinner.  After dinner we just hung out and watched movies.  We stayed until Sunday around noon.  We had a great time playing games, watching movies and just having fun.  The rest of Sunday we just relaxed a bit.

Our yummy dinner...thanks Jake & Zach

Monday morning Jake and his brother Sam cleaned out their old Blazer and got it ready to sale.  I remember when Jake had the truck when he and I were first hanging out before his mission.  It was a fun truck.  Good memories!  Sam and Will also had a turn with that fun car after that time.

That evening we went with all of Jake's family to the park for a chicken picnic.  (A tradition they do each Memorial day and Labor day)  Everyone brought really yummy salads!  After dinner we played the ladder game with a few who agreed to try it out.  The kids had fun in the sand, with chalk and with water guns (Great idea Jon and Tati, thanks for bringing them)!  I forgot my camera though, so sorry no pics.

Overall it was a great weekend.  We are lucky to live so close to both families and love the time we get to spend with them.

Ava's 2 months stats

Ava was a champ at her 2 month appointment.  The Doctor said everything looked great.  She did really well with the shots and fell asleep soon after, but was a little fussy when she woke up from her nap.  She was definitely a trooper though.

Weight 9 lbs. 11 oz.
Length  22 3/4

She is growing up so fast.

Also here is a preview of some pictures my sister took for us. (more to come)  Thanks Aunt Amy!!

Ava & Lucas ~ Blessing Day

Sunday, May 20th Ava Jane Fetzer was blessed by her father.  It was especially nice because she got to share that special day with her cousin Lucas Charles Davenport, who was blessed by his father Kirk.

We had a lot of family support and both dads gave really wonderful blessings.  Jake and are lucky to have such great family.

After the church meeting we had  a luncheon in our backyard.  It was a really nice day and all of us had a fun time just relaxing, eating some good food and enjoying one anothers company.
