The kids had a great first week back at school, other than Ava being sick and missing the last two days, things were great. They really love their new teachers and seem to be doing really well. I am really impressed with how involved the Principal is at the school and like the different programs the kids are getting exposed to.
The next weekend was Labor Day weekend. Jake had to work everyday but Monday so the kids and I headed up to the cabin with my parents and my sister Sarah early Friday afternoon.
We had a fun filled weekend with grandpa and grandma and cousins. It is always fun to spend time with my sisters and their families. Saturday we went to Swiss Days. We don't do much with all the booths, mostly because it is sooo crowded. We never miss the parade though. Their parade never disapoints! They throw tons of candy for the kids and hand out things from frisbees and sunglasses to cheese curds and popsicles. It is always a party.
The rest of the weekend was spent playing games, talking, nightly walks and relaxing. Jake was able to join us Sunday afternoon until we all went home together late Monday morning. We were excited to see him and spend the last little bit together. We got to catch up with my cousins Dan and Tiffany a bit also, which was great. We really enjoy all of our cousins on the Clift side, but don't get to see them that often. We ended the long weekend with a little Fetzer picnic in our backyard. It was a lot smaller group then usual, but fun none the less!
This weekend we took a hike with the Stucki's. It was a fun little hike up Wild Rose Trail canyon. I was reminded of this hike Jake took the scouts on when my cousin posted some pictures of her family on the hike. We had a fun time and the kids always love to play with their friends. Saturday we went to a fun birthday party for a cute little boy from the neighborhood. We had a great time visiting with friends and the kids had a blast playing with friends.
Class has been going pretty well for me. I have one online class and one on Thursday evenings. The evening class is Finance, which freaks me out a little, but the teacher is pretty great and keeps it intersting and really does anything he can to help us suceed.
It has been kind of nice to spend more time with the younger two at home while the older ones are back in school. I do feel like I need to organize my time a little better with them. Schedule learning time in with them and my own learning time as well, along with all the other mom jobs I have to do. I will get there, I have no doubt. It might just take some time.
Jake finished putting in the playhouse for the kids in the backyard. He worked really hard on it here and there for the last few weeks Lawson helped him out alot. Some great father/son bonding time. He is such a good dad. A shout out to Jake Stucki, Quinn and Will who all played a part. Jake was outpatient this week, he hasn't been on that shift for a while. It was nice, I felt like we got to see him a little more this week. Tuesday he even unexpectedly came home early, quietly snuck in and scared me half to death. It was pretty hillarious. He is fun, I like him a lot😍
The kids had another good week at school. I love to hear what they did during their day on the way home from school. Their cousin Riley and them always have some fun stories to tell on the short ride home. Lawson started Violin and is enjoying it. Ava started choir and is also enjoying that.
Things have been busy the last couple of weeks. Things have ran fairly smooth, but I feel like I could do better. I am hoping to get through my first paper tomorrow, some reading for both of my classes and then organize/schedule my time and my families time a little bit better.
Here's to a more organized week!
