Ava Jane Fetzer

Born March 22, 2012 @ 7:54 AM. Weighing in at 6 lbs. 13 0z. and 19 inches long.

We woke up about 4:30 am on March 22 to get ready to go to my scheduled c-section. Yes, another c-section, things just weren't progressing much so we all decided that this would be the best for all of us.

We dropped Lawson off at Grandma Fetzer's around 5:30 and then we were off to the hospital. They were so awesome to take Lawson and he had such a great time with them. He kept telling people he lived at Grandma's house.

We checked in to the hospital about 6:00 am. I went into surgery around 7:30 and by 7:54 am we had our precious little Ava Jane.

Things went great. The second time around was a lot better than the first time around. The only thing we didn't love was the long hospital stay. We were there until Sunday around noon, but with any surgery they have to make sure everything is going good before you leave. We were hoping to be out Saturday evening though.

Jake was so awesome. He waited on me and took care of Ava our whole stay. He also toughed it out on the hospital couch bed every night so I wouldn't have to stay alone. He was amazing and I appreciate him so much. I love that guy more than ever! He has also been great at home, doing the dishes, helping with Lawson and just taking care of the usual household things. What a stud!

Lawson is also in heaven with a new little baby around. He loves her a lot. He is always asking, "where is the baby mom?" and telling me that she needs things. He is going to be such a great big brother.

We love this little girl so much and are so excited to have Ava as a new addition to our family.

We have a new nephew and we are thrilled. Congratulations to Liz and Kirk on their beautiful baby boy! 9lbs. 21 in. Way to go Liz!


We also had another new addition to the Fetzer Family Clan at the end of December. Oliva Fetzer. Congratulations to Sam and Tonya!! She is already growing up so fast, such an adorable little baby girl! It will be so fun to have all these little cousins so close in age!

I am hoping I am right around the corner. At my 36 week check up I had progressed a bit, which is far more than I had by the time they induced me with Lawson. Unfortunately now, 2 weeks later I am still about the same. My doctor told me we may have to do another C-Section if I get too close to my due date without anymore progression. So everybody send some good contraction vibes my way:)!!

Just thought I would give a quick update, hopefully the next post will be of our sweet baby girl!
