Christmas Lights

Earlier this month we enjoyed a night out on the town with the the Clift Clan. We went to dinner downtown with my Dad and Mom and all of my sisters and finished the night off with a visit to Temple Square to see the Christmas lights. We had a great time with the family and it is always fun to go see all of the beautiful lights they have downtown!

THANKSGIVING

We had a great Thanksgiving this year filled with lots of food, family and fun! We are fortunate enough to have both sides close by and we are able to make it to both sides family dinners.

The day started out with Jake getting home from an all-nighter at the hospital for his surgery rotation. He didn't get any sleep and I wouldn't let him take a quick nap because we were supposed to leave for our first event within a couple of hours.

We rode out to Brigham City with Jake's brother Jon and his wife and kids for our first dinner with all of the Coopers (Jake's mom's side of the family). The dinner was amazing, everyone brought really yummy dishes. There was a great fruit Turkey made by Jake's Aunt Caryn and one of my favorite sides were the candied yams...delicious! We were able to fit in some time to make some fun gingerbread houses and play some basketball before we had to get going to our next event of the day.

Almost immediately after we got home from the fun Cooper Thanksgiving we headed over to my parents house to have our Clift family Thanksgiving. All of my sisters and their fellas were there. We had another yummy dinner with a few of our favorite traditional sides, like Grandpa Herzog's hot tomato drink. A little while after dinner my mom's sister and her family came for pie. We had a great time catching up with the Fords and eating delicious pie. Aunt Becky's pecan pie was wonderful and all of the others looked great too.

Thanksgiving 2011 was a lot of fun! I am so Thankful for all of our wonderful family and the good times that we are able to spend with all of them!!

For those of you who haven't heard...

For those of you who haven't heard...

Yes it is true, we are having a girl due towards the end of March and we couldn't be more thrilled.

I have been very fortunate with my pregnancies thus far. This second one has been a lot like the first, with only 5-6 weeks of feeling yucky, but not getting sick. I am about 23 weeks now, so over half way! Things have been moving along nicely and everything so far has been good.

Lawson seems to be really excited to be a big brother and he likes to tell everyone that mommy has his little sister in her tummy. I am sure he will be a great big brother!

Halloween

OUR HALLOWEEN ADVENTURES

So we were lucky enough to have a weekend full of Halloween fun. It started on Saturday with a trip to Boo at the Zoo. Jake and I took Lawson to the zoo to see the animals and also trick or treat to a few spots while we were there as well. I think Lawson had a lot of fun, but it was really crowded so we did not stay too long.

That evening we headed over to our ward Halloween party. Jake and I joined in on the dress up fun too. Lawson was Darth Vader of course. Jake was Han Solo and I was Princess Leah. Unfortunately we did not get a picture of all of us. I really need to be better about that. We had a yummy dinner and then took Lawson around to a few doors in the ward to trick or treat and then we headed over to the stake center where the ward had set up a little carnival type activity. Laws had a lot of fun. A lot of that may have been the sword fighting he did with many of his primary friends and cousins. He really loved his light saber.

Sunday we had a family dinner at the Clift's house, which we do at the end of every month. This one was kind of Halloween themed though. We enjoyed everyones company as usual.

Monday my mom and I took Lawson up to foothill village to trick or treat. He fell asleep on the way home. After dinner I took Laws to a few houses in the neighborhood. Then we waited for dad to get home. It was Jake's first day of his surgery rotation and we quickly found out that this would be a month of really long work days. 4:30am-8:00pm, what a champ. Jake is awesome!

And that ends our Halloween adventures.

Finally!

So I finally got around to starting our Fetzer Family Blog. To be honest The actual set up of the blog has been done for awhile, but I didn't add a post or invite people to view it until now. Better late than never, right?!

I am excited to keep a record of things we do on the blog and to share it with others. Hopefully I can keep up with it...Fingers crossed!

My next post will be about our Halloween adventures. So to end this post here is a little sneak peak.....
