More Summer Fun

Our last couple of weeks have kept us kind of busy.  Some days we had a lot of things to keep us busy and other days not much, but it has felt busy the whole time.

We got to hang out with Liz and Megan and Lucas and Oliver a bit before they went back to Tennesee and we have missed Julie while she has been visiting with them in Tennessee. We had a fun day at the park with them and also Tonya and her kids a day.  As well as the library.  The kids always have a good time there.

Lawson had a pack meeting and got a lot of badges from things he completed at summer camp.  He likes scouts a lot especially when his friend Kaj goes.

We enjoyed our first neighborhood playgroup.   I was in charge of this one.  We tried a new splash pad/park.  It was really fun.  I think everyone had a good time.  Lanie and her girls came, along with Meghan and the Bloomers and My sister Amy and her kids.

That weekend Jake worked and we just took it easy at home, but enjoyed dinner at Jon and Tati's which ended in an epic nerf gun battle started by Jake.  It was awesome because the adults actually started the fun and then the kiddos joined in.  I stayed neutral and told them I would gather bullets and distribute to both teams if they didn't shoot at me.  I stayed out of the line of fire for the most part.

The kiddos did a lemonade stand and had a really great time.  It was so fun to see thier enthusiasm getting it ready and the anticipation of the customers coming down the street.

We went on a Sweet's Candy factory tour with Lanie and her girls.  It was fun!  We had another playgroup this week, Becca was in charge.  We did the Living Room hike up by Red Butte Gardens.  It was a really great hike. I don't usually carry Wes on my back for hikes, Jake does.  So it was a little challenging for me, but I did the whole hike and I am glad that I did.  It was good for me and I feel like I accomplished something.     All of the kiddos did great and we had a good time with a few familes in the ward.  Shout out to my niece Hanna, who kept giving piggy backs to a lot of the littles a lot of the way.  She is the best!  More hikes please.  We also went swimming with some of the Fetzer cousins that afternoon.  Wes liked the water a lot more this time.  Yay!

Sandra got the kiddos donuts on the walk Friday morning and they thought it was the coolest!  We have been very hit and miss on the walks this summer, but enjoy them when we do get to go.  Next two week with swimming lessons and then Cali.  We won't get many more in until school starts.  Then it might be cooler though ;)

Jake had an admin day on Friday and didn't work this weekend. What?!  It was awesome to have him around.  He spent  alot of his Friday and Saturday taking down the old swing set.   Then taking apart another one we are getting and digging it out of the ground and cement and figuring out how to make it work best in our yard.  Laws was a big help and also Quinn and Jake (Stucki that is).  Jake is an awesome dad and does a lot for our little family.  Love him!  Judy came to play for the evening on Saturday as well.  The kiddos all had a fun time with her.

Today we all enjoyed church together.  I still can't leave Wes in nursery without him flipping out though, so my second hour is always spent in the nursery.  One day I will get to enjoy my time with adults again.

Summer!

Soooo it has been a couple weeks too many since I last blogged.  These first few weeks of summer have kept me busy and I still feel like I am trying to catch up and keep up ☺

The kids have been busy with reading challanges, playing outside, library trips, the park, playing with cousins and friends and so much more!

Jake enjoyed the last two weeks off, minus the Sundays and one Friday.  He just can't stay away 😉  (He is such a hard worker 💗)  He got to go to Lake Powell with the youth in our ward and he had a great time.  No pictures to post though...boo...

My 6 week summer class has come and gone.  Business Communications...very educational.  I learned a lot and not to pat myself on the back or anything, but I received a pretty darn good grade in the class as well.  Yay!  With it being in the summer, with all 4 kids at home I am pretty proud of myself.  Also we got to enjoy 2 date nights in one week.  Date nights are far and few between at our house so this was pretty cool.  I got us tickets to a Beatles tribute band for our anniversary.  The week we were going another opportunity came up to get a killer deal on Goo Goo Dolls/Train tickets (Thanks Alicia).  Both concerts were very entertaining and the company was awesome!

This last week we spent 4 days at the Cooper reunion.  Jake's family was in charge this year.  His mom (I get to claim her too) put so much hard work into this to make it a wonderful reunion.  She had so many acitvities for the kids and planned other activites as well.  We were never bored.  We love her!  We had a great time.  Good food, good times and a great family!

From here I am just going to post pictures of the last bit of school and our Fantastic Summer so far!

Here we go...

Ava and her friend Jax at the Science Fair

 Laws at the Science Fair

Laws and Ava receiving awards at the awards assembly

Next 3 pictures are from the end of the year carnival at the school

The next series of pictures are from a family luau I hosted with my sister-in-law Tonya.
We had yummy food and good times!

The fun luau treat I made for the party

Jake and his brother Sam jamming in the basement.
They have a great time when they do this, but don't get to do it nearly enough.

Last day at school.  Miss Davis was awesome.  Laws had her in first grade also.
Speaking of Laws, he was too cool to get his picture taken ;)

We snuck in a quick overnighter to the cabin the first weekend in June.  It was quick, but fun!

Jake had oral surgery the day we went to the cabin, but he toughed it out and we went up anyway.  Such a good sport!  The one side of his face got pretty huge and was swollen for a few days and then it just started to bruise like crazy from his eye and continued down to his neck as time went on.  He looked like he had gotten beat up.  He had to tell people over and over what had happend.  Every now and again he would throw in the wife beat me joke, if someone else didn't do it first. LOL

We enjoyed the Bloomer kids a few days one week.  It was pretty fun!
We had a good time with them, the kids loved it.

Poor Wes has a bad reaction to mosquitos.

Here is one of Jake's bruise pictures

Judy turned 2.  Had a fun little party with my fam

The next two pictures are from the Goo Goo Dolls/Train Concert, then the next two the Beatles Tribute Band

Family Dinner with Becca!  She had a very quick trip (too quick) from Tennesee.
We were so thrilled to be able to spend a little time with  her and catch up though.  We love Becca and always enjoy the times we get to spend with her and her cute family.  It was just her and cute Grayson here this time.

 Cooper Reunion Pics

I took most of the pics, so this is the only one I found that showed I was there too :)

We got home from the reunion on the 4th of July.  We unpacked for the most part and then had a little family dinner.
We had to change plans to indoors last minute.  Crazy weather this 4th.  Rainy and chilly.
Also Liz, her 2 kiddos Lucas and Oliver and also Megan have been in town.  They came a few days before the reunion and leave on Tuesday.  It has been fun to hang out with them and enjoy these fun girls company.
We love them and love having them around.

Then Saturday Braxton, one of Jon and Tati's boys got baptized and they had a fun pool party after.
Good times had by all.

This cute girl can't keep her hands off my phone.  So I thought I would document one of her selfies.
This was at the pool party.
