Thanksgiving

(pie made by Amy...yummy razzleberry)

I am so Thankful for so m any things in my life.  The basics, a warm place to live, food to eat, transportation and so much more.  I am especially grateful for my little family.  I love and appreciate Jake so much, he is such an awesome husband.  I also love my two kids and am so thankful for their cute little personalities and all that they teach me.  I am also thankful for my family and for Jake's family and for all their love and support. I am so blessed!

We had a great Thanksgiving.  We spent the morning and afternoon with Jake's family and the whole Cooper side.  We had a great time eating good food, catching up with family, playing rock band, and other fun sports.  We always have a great time with family.  The whole evening was spent with my family.  We had more great food, and looked through all the black Friday ads.  We also spent a little time with Aunt Becky, Uncle Dale, Jessica and Rebecka when they came over for pie.

First Snow

The first part of November we had almost 3 straight days of snow.  Crazy!  We let Lawson go out and play one of the days.  He had so much fun!

Halloween 2012

We had a great holiday season this year, full of fun and good times.  Lawson was a dinosaur and Ava was a Lady bug.

The weekend before Halloween we went to a fun holiday gathering at our ward, were all the kiddos enjoyed some fun games and we all enjoyed some good food.  We also went to the pumpkin patch with some of the cousins to let the kiddos play, to get a few pics, and to pic out a pumpkin.  We all had a good time!

We also went to Jon and Tati's for a Halloween party that weekend.  They had apples to dip in caramel and all kinds of toppings and lots of other yummy Halloween treats.  We played Apples to Apples with everyone and the kids played in the basement.  Laws had a really good time.  Anthony even let Lawson try on his Spider man costume which he thought was pretty cool.

Aunt Christina and Uncle Zach took Laws to Boo at the Zoo and to lunch also.  Lawson loved every minute of it.  Thanks guys!

Monday we went to my Aunt Becky's annual Halloween shindig.  It was always a great time as usual.  Jake dressed up like a cop and I dressed up as a heart and we were "cardiac arrest".  There were other great costumes as well.  We had a great dinner and the fun costume contest as well.  Ava won the cutest and Lawson placed for the scariest.

On Halloween the kids and I went with Grandma to Foothill village to trick or treat.  Lawson had a fun time and it was fun to see all the different costumes.  We also carved pumpkins with dad before he had to go.  That night Quinn helped me take Lawson and Ava to a few houses around here because Jake was at work.  We also did a little trick or treating by my parents house.

We had a great Halloween!  Here are a few pics to prove it!!

Ava's 6 month stats

At Ava's 6 month check up, she had already had a cold so she was feeling miserable.  The doctor checked her over, but decided to hold off on her shots until she was feeling better so she wouldn't be even more miserable.

I took her in a week later with Lawson so he could get his flu shot.  She was a brave girl and didn't really even fuss the rest of the day.  I think it might be because she is mobile now and she kept her legs moving.

So yes, she is a crawler and she tries to go everywhere and play with big brother.  She sits up, but to her side almost like she is posing.  She also just started to pull herself up while holding on to something.  Man she is growing up way to fast!

A quick story about Lawson's flu shot.  So I had talked to him about what was going to happen and he felt OK about it.  When we went into the office I asked him to choose what leg he wanted it on.  Then as I sat him down to get his shot he looks at the nurse and says,"You better not put it in my forehead, that would not be good."  Then he continued to do his silly face and did exactly what the nurse asked him to do.  He did not even cry.  What a champ!
Ava's stats:

Height: 26.5 inches
Weight: 13.9 pounds

11% in weight, 72% in height and 62% head.

Too long!

So it has been a couple months since I last posted.  I am quite the slacker.  I will try and get a few posts on here in the next couple of days...starting with Ava's 6 month's stats.

4 Month Stats...

Miss Ava is weighing in at 12 lbs. 7 oz. and is 24.5 inches long.  This puts her in about the 50th percentile for height and only about 20th for weight.  Her head is finally to about 45%.  Which is still only about 50% of her older brothers percentile.

She is loves to suck on her hands and has recently found her feet and thinks they are pretty cool.  She laughs a lot especially at big brother.  She just learned to roll over and is holding her head up really well.  She is still just her happy easy going self.  Can't believe how fast my babies are growing up.

Goodbye Again Liz and the 24th

We were lucky to see Liz for a month or so while she was in town for her surgery (which went great and she has been recovering awesome by the way).  It was great to spend time with her and to see Ava and Lucas start to interact with each other a little bit.

July 23rd we roasted hot dogs and had a nice dinner so we could all spend 1 last night with her.  We miss her and her little family while they are in Tennessee, but are grateful to get to see them when we do.

The 24th was a fun filled day as well.  We went to the Boy Scouts breakfast that morning and had some great food that they prepared for us for their annual fundraiser.  Then we caught a bit of the days of '47 parade on TV.  After the kiddos and I headed to my parents to see Aunt Becky, her girls and Adalee.  They had all gone to see Rebecka in the parade.  We had lunch with them and had a good time visiting.

That night we all headed over to my parents for good food, good company, and fireworks.   We had a great time.  On the way home Lawson and Ava were out with in seconds.  We stopped at the school to do a few fireworks with Jake's family and Caryn, Kenny and their kids were their also.  It was a fun filled day for sure.
Unfortunately this is the only picture I took on the 24th but it is a good one!

New Car

So a few weeks ago we purchased a new car.  It is great!  We love saving on gas and I love it not to have to lift the kids up into the truck.  It will be a great new addition.  We plan on selling the Truck soon.  We have loved the Blazer and it was still running like a champ at 229,000, but the gas really gets to ya!

2001 Chevy Impala

4 Months!

Can't believe this cutie is already 4 months.  We all love her to pieces!!

Fun in Bear Lake

This year the Cooper reunion was held at Bear Lake.  We stayed at Bear Lake Adventures and what an adventure we had.

We planned on leaving Monday morning at 9:30 and didn't leave until 11:00.  Jake made a great point saying that if we would have planed on 11:00 it would have been 2:00.  Tonya and her van full of people and Jon and his car full of people all left at the same time.  We stopped in Garden City for a quick bite to eat.  Then before 3 we pulled into our week of fun.  We set up camp and just hung out for the rest of the day.

The rest of the week was full of activities.  Many of them just included playing in the lake.  The kids had a great time playing in the sand on the beach.  We had water fights, snow cones, campfire and smores, games and just a fun time hanging out with everyone.  A couple mornings Masha, Kim and some of the other ladies helped paint faces.  They did an awesome job and the kiddos loved it. There were over 90 of us there and it was so good to get to spend time with all of them.  At one point a water balloon launching fight broke out between the Haddock boys and the Fetzer boys and some of the other boys of course.  It was quite entertaining.

The last night there we had a talent show.  Randy's kids put on a great little number about Grandma and Grandpa Cooper and their kids, "I woke up in the morning feelin' like J. Cooper...."  It was awesome.  Talese treated us with a few songs as well.  What talent!  Some of the kiddos did a few things too, including Lawson singing Scooby Dooby Doo.  After the talent show we had an outdoor movie.  It was a great time.

Thursday morning we all had breakfast and then cleaned up, packed up and went home.  Jon's car and our car stopped in Wyoming so the boys could get some fireworks.

We had a great time and thank everyone for making such great meals and for Sandy and Reed putting the whole thing together.  Cooper's Rock!

(A lot of fun = a lot of pictures)
